IVAN JAEGER

-

Ivan Jaeger of Henderson, passed away August 23, 2022. Born in Cincinnati, to parents Eva and Benjamin Jaeger, who preceded him in death. Ivan was a veteran of the Korean War. Ivan took his family out West in 1961, bringing with him casino experience picked up in gambling halls in Kentucky. He had worked at some of Old Las Vegas’ most recognizable establishments including the Dunes, Desert Inn, Sahara, Flamingo, and Tropicana. In his free time, Ivan was an accomplished woodworker, history buff, and artist. He was very creative and detail-oriented, producing furniture, solutions, and beautiful paintings just at the simple suggestion of his family. His pieces will be treasured for years to come. Family life was the most important to Ivan. Ivan married his wife Bernice in 1955. Together, they raised daughters Ginger, Jackie, and Judi. Ivan was a doting grandfather to Rebecca and Eva and delighted in the triumphs and laughs of great-granddaughters Gwendolyn, Aurora, and Penelope. Ivan was the original “girl dad”. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was patient and kind and was simply the best. Ivan will be greatly missed. Ivan is

preceded in death by his daughter Ginger, brother Arthur, and sister Hazel (Herman). He is survived by his wife Bernice, daughters Jackie and Judi,

brother Morris, sister Carolyn, granddaughters Rebecca and Eva, greatgranddaughters Gwendolyn, Aurora, and Penelope, and countless other relatives who meant a great deal to him. Services for Ivan Jaeger will be held on what

would have been his 94th birthday, Wed., Sept. 7, at King David Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Ln, Las Vegas, NV.
