Washington’s Thomas back from knee injury
Washington tight end Logan Thomas will play Sunday, nine months after sustaining tears of the ACL and MCL in his left knee. The 31-year-old opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list but was removed Aug. 22 and has practiced with a brace on his left leg. He has 90 catches for 866 yards and nine touchdowns in 22 games over the past two seasons.
■ Giants: Rookie linebacker Kayvon Thibodeau (knee) is doubtful to play Sunday. The 21-year-old Oregon product, drafted No. 5 overall, sustained a right MCL sprain Aug. 21 and was expected to be sidelined three to four weeks. Sunday is three weeks from when the injury occurred.
■ Bills: All-pro safety Jordan Poyer, after requesting a contract extension in the offseason, agreed to a reworked deal for 2022 that includes up to $2 million in incentives. The 31-year-old is entering the final season of a twoyear, $19.5 million deal.
■ Ravens: Left offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) was ruled out for Sunday. The 28-year-old Bishop Gorman product, a 2019 All-pro, has been limited to seven games since signing a five-year, $112.5 million extension in October 2020.
■ Buccaneers: Wide receiver Chris Godwin said his status for Sunday will be a game-time decision. The 26-year-old 2019 Pro Bowl pick sustained tears of the ACL and MCL in his right knee in Week 15 last season and had surgery Jan. 3.
■ Browns: The status of right offensive tackle Jack Conklin (knee) will be a game-time decision Sunday, coach Kevin Stefanski said. The 28-year-old two-time All-pro participated in team drills all week.
■ Jets: Left offensive tackle Duane Brown (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve. The 37-year-old five-time Pro Bowl pick signed a twoyear, $22 million deal last month.
■ Cardinals: Former Raiders cornerback Trayvon Mullen (toe) and wide receiver Rondale Moore (hamstring) were ruled out for Sunday.
