Guard Schroder back with Lakers, gets one-year deal

Free-agent point guard Dennis Schroder returned for a second stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, agreeing to a one-year, $2.64 million deal. The 29-yearold German averaged 15.4 points and 5.8 assists with the Lakers in 2020-21 and then turned down their four-year, $80 million extension offer. He struck out in free agency and settled for a one-year, $5.9 million deal with Boston, which dealt him to Houston. Schroder has averaged 14.2 points and 4.7 assists in nine NBA seasons with five teams.

■ Timberwolv­es: Free-agent guard P.J. Dozier agreed to a deal with undisclose­d terms. The 25-year-old averaged 5.4 points and 18.9 minutes over 18 games with Denver in 202122 before sustaining a torn left ACL in November. He’s averaged 6.5 ponts in five NBA seasons with three teams.
