Colts receivers Pittman, Pierce sidelined Sunday

-

Indianapolis wide receivers Michael Pittman (quadriceps) and Alec Pierce (concussion) were ruled out for Sunday, and wide receiver Keke Coutee and kicker Chase Mclaughlin were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster.

Pittman, the Colts’ No. 1 receiver, was hurt Wednesday in practice and listed as questionable Thursday and Friday. The 24-year-old Southern California product had nine catches for 121 yards and a touchdown in Week 1.

■ Bills: Defensive tackle Ed Oliver (ankle) was ruled out for Monday, and Tim Settle (calf) — his backup — is doubtful, leaving the team with four defensive tackles on its active roster. Also, Gabe Davis (ankle), the team’s No. 2 wide receiver, was added to the injury report with a questionable designation. He had four catches for 88 yards and a TD in Week 1.

■ Obit: Former New England offensive tackle Shelby Jordan died Sept. 9 of undisclosed causes, the Patriots said Friday. He was 70. Jordan, a College Football Hall of Famer, played seven seasons with New England starting in 1975 and four with the Raiders before retiring after 1986.

■ Buccaneers: Wide receiver Chris Godwin (hamstring) was ruled out and left offensive tackle Donovan Smith (elbow) doubtful for Sunday. Godwin was hurt in Week 1, his first game since sustaining two torn knee ligaments in Week 15 last season.

■ Titans: Running back Dontrell Hilliard (hamstring) and starting cornerback Kristian Fulton (hamstring) were ruled out for Monday. Hilliard had 69 yards of offense and two TD catches in Week 1, playing as the team’s primary third-down back.

■ 49ers: Punter Mitch Wishnowsky signed a four-year, $13 million extension through 2026. The 30-yearold former rugby standout from Australia, a 2019 fourth-round draft pick, averaged 45.5 yards per punt the past three seasons.

■ Falcons: Running back Damien Williams (ribs) was placed on injured reserve, sidelining the 30-year-old at least four games.
