6-0 guard/forward,

Notre Dame

By the numbers: 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists

Young took a giant step forward in 2022. She was named the WNBA’S Most Improved Player and made her first All-star appearance. The former Notre Dame wing saw her statistical output rise in points, rebounds and 3-point percentage. Young also led all Aces players by averaging 33.2 minutes per game.

The All-star wing’s defense became the most important part of her game in the postseason. Young drew the most challenging perimeter assignments in each round of the playoffs. She limited Mercury wing Diamond Deshields in the first round, Seattle Storm guard Jewell Loyd in the semifinals and Connecticut Sun wing Dewanna Bonner in the WNBA Finals.
