Xochitl Underwood has joined the Mark Wiley Group, with Keller Williams Realty Southwest, as its vice president of marketing and communications. Underwood will lead the team’s marketing strategy and communication initiatives. Previously, she served as executive producer of digital content at local CBS-TV affiliate KLAS-8.
Nevada State Bank announced the promotion of Jim Friedel to vice president, corporate relationship manager. Friedel previously served as the bank’s commercial banking portfolio risk officer, a position he held for 10 years.
In his new role, Friedel will help clients grow their businesses and increase efficiency.
Steve Avanzino has joined real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield as director in Reno. Avanzino joins the firm’s Land Advisory Group in Nevada as well as for the Americas, specializing in the sale of large land holdings, disposition and acquisition, and land portfolios in Nevada.

Christina Roush, managing principal for Cushman & Wakefield’s Nevada and San Diego offices, said in a news release.
Nigro Construction in Las Vegas named David Miller as the company’s general superintendent. Miller, a 30-year industry veteran, will help the firm expand its operations with larger-scale projects in Southern Nevada. The construction firm also added Belinda Cahapay and Alexandrea Rivera as project managers, Leslie Scott as project engineer and Joshua Mallory as assistant project superintendent.
