Raiders’ moves include signing of lineman Bars

- Review-journal wire services

The Raiders signed offensive lineman Alex Bars, who has been on their practice squad all season, to the active roster Saturday.

Bars started last week at left guard after being elevated from the practice squad. By signing him, he is part of the regular roster. To make room for Bars, reserve offensive tackle Jackson Barton was released.

Also, safety Isaiah Pola-mao was re-signed to the practice squad, and cornerbacks Nickell Robey-coleman and Javelin Guidry were activated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.

Dolphins: The unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant involved in clearing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in Miami’s Week 3 win was fired after it was found he made “several mistakes” in his evaluation. Criticism of the Dolphins’ handling of the situation was exacerbated Thursday, when Tagovailoa’s head hit the turf again during Miami’s loss at Cincinnati. Tagovailoa was diagnosed with a concussion, and his return has no timetable, coach Mike Mcdaniel said.

Chiefs: Harrison Butker (ankle) was ruled out for a third straight game, and fellow kicker Matthew Wright was promoted from the practice squad. Wright, 26, made 21 of 24 field-goal tries for Jacksonville in 2021.

Bears: Kicker Cairo Santos (personal) did not travel with the

team to New York, and kicker Michael Badgley and running back Darrynton Evans were promoted from the practice squad.

Browns: Two-time All-pro defensive end Myles Garrett (shoulder, biceps), hurt in a single-car accident Monday, was ruled out for Sunday.

Saints: Quarterback Jameis Winston (back) was ruled out for Sunday, and Andy Dalton will start in his place, coach Dennis Allen said.

Patriots: Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee), who has a team-high 13 catches this season, was ruled out for a second straight game.
