Two Dolphins QBS out of concussion protocol

-

Miami quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Teddy Bridgewater cleared concussion protocol, but rookie thirdstring QB Skylar Thompson will make his first NFL start Sunday.

Tagovailoa, injured in Week 4, is expected to start in Week 7. Bridgewater will be active Sunday as a backup to Thompson, a seventhround draft pick from Kansas State.

■ Jets: Defensive end Vinny Curry, who missed last season because of complications after a splenectomy, was activated from injured reserve and will make his New York debut Sunday, ESPN reported. The 34-yearold has 32.5 sacks in nine NFL seasons (eight with Philadelphia, one with Tampa Bay).

■ Commanders: Quarterback Carson Wentz sustained a fractured finger on his right (throwing) hand Thursday with two minutes left in the first half of Washington’s win at Chicago and will see a specialist Monday in Los Angeles to determine how much time he might miss.

■ Colts: Running backs Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) were ruled out for Sunday. Taylor, last year’s NFL rushing champion, will miss a second straight game after having missed only one game in his first two NFL seasons.

■ Buccaneers: The NFL fined quarterback Tom Brady $11,139 for trying to kick Atlanta defensive end Grady Jarrett after a sack in Tampa Bay’s Week 5 win.

■ Jaguars: Wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. (hamstring) and defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi (quadriceps), both starters, were ruled out for Sunday.

■ Chargers: Five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring), sidelined since Week 2, is doubtful for Monday.

■ Browns: Cornerback Greedy Williams (hamstring) was activated from IR to make his season debut Sunday.
