Crosby stars as Penguins roll to win over Lightning

PITTSBURGH — Sidney Crosby had a goal and two assists, Jake Guentzel had a goal and an assist, and Pittsburgh scored four times in the third period to beat Tampa Bay 6-2 on Saturday.

Danton Heinen and Bryan Rust had power-play goals, while Jeff Carter and Rickard Rakell also scored for the Penguins, who have outscored opponents 12-4 in two games this season. Tristan Jarry made 34 saves in his second win.

Steven Stamkos scored his fourth of the season, and Brayden Point got his first for the Lightning, who lost two of three on a season-opening trip. Brian Elliott had 39 saves for Tampa Bay, which beat Columbus in the first half of a back-toback set Friday.

■ Kings 7, Wild 6: At St. Paul, Minn., Adrian Kempe’s second goal of the night broke a third-period tie as Los Angeles recovered after blowing a two-goal lead. Marc-andre Fleury, an original Golden Knight, allowed four goals on 14 shots in the first period for Minnesota before being replaced. In four periods this season, Fleury has yielded 11 goals on 49 shots.

■ Capitals 3, Canadiens 1: At Washington, T.J. Oshie had a goal and an assist to back Darcy Kuemper, who had 21 saves, as Washington avoided its first 0-3-0 start since 2012-13. Former Golden Knights prospect Nick Suzuki scored for Montreal.

■ Panthers 4, Sabres 3: At Buffalo, N.Y., Matthew Tkachuk had a goal and an assist for Florida, which held Buffalo to five third-period shots. Former Golden Knight Alex Tuch had a goal and an assist for the Sabres.

■ Maple Leafs 3, Senators 2: At Toronto, Justin Holl scored to break a 2-all tie with 1:55 left and back Ilya Samsonov, who had 25 saves while starting in place of Matt Murray (abductor strain).

■ Blues 5, Blue Jackets 2: At St. Louis, Ivan Barbashev and Jake Neighbours scored 20 seconds apart in the third period for St. Louis to back Jordan Binnington, who stopped 23 shots.

■ Flyers 3, Canucks 2: At Philadelph­ia, Tony D’angelo had a goal and an assist for Philadelph­ia to back Carter Hart, who stopped 27 shots, as the Flyers overcame a two-goal deficit.

■ Islanders 7, Ducks 1: At New York, defensemen Scott Mayfield and Robin Salo each scored twice, and Anders Lee had three assists, backing Ilya Sorokin, who had 22 saves.

■ Stars 5, Predators 1: At Dallas, Roope Hintz scored twice, and Jason Robertson had a goal and two assists as Dallas capped a home-and-home sweep of Nashville.

■ Bruins 6, Coyotes 3: At Boston, Derek Forbort scored the tiebreakin­g goal with 9:29 left for Boston in its 19th straight win over Arizona dating to 2010.

■ Red Wings 5, Devils 2: At Newark, N.J., Dylan Larkin had a goal and two assists to back Alex Nedeljkovi­c, who stopped 37 shots.
