Saturday Silver Knights 6, Roadrunner­s 2 Dollar Loan Center

■ RECAP: Pavel Dorofeyev scored twice in the first five minutes as the Silver Knights bounced back from an opening-night defeat to secure their first win of the season. Layton Ahac, Brayden Pachal, Maxim Marushev and Sakari Manninen all scored their first goals of the season, with Manninen and Ahac assisting on Dorofeyev’s second goal. Sheldon Rempal finished with two assists. Sebastien Dea collected a goal and an assist for the Roadrunner­s, and Mike Carcone tallied two assists.

■ RECORDS: Tucson (1-1-0); Silver Knights (1-1-0)

■ IN THE PIPES: Michael Hutchinson made 22 saves in his first action of the season for the Silver Knights, while Jon Gillies was pulled after allowing five goals on 14 shots for Tucson. Ivan Prosvetov, who was in goal for the Roadrunner­s’ 2-1 win Friday, made 13 saves.

■ ALSO: The Silver Knights were 1 of 3 on the power play – Manninen scored midway through the third period on the man advantage to close the scoring. Along with thwarting the Roadrunner­s’ three power-play chances, Marushev scored short-handed earlier in the third. Each team drew five penalties. Jonas Rondbjerg, Zack Hayes and Pachal were the three Silver Knights to finish with a plus-2 rating.
