TIMOTHY JOHN MEAGHER

-

On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Timothy John Meagher passed away at age ninety-one. Timmy was born in Brooklyn, New York to John Joseph Meagher and Lucia "Lulu" Marie Villone Meagher. Timmy enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a paratrooper Sergeant in the 11th Airborn Division from 1954-1957. Timmy moved to Las Vegas in the late 1950’s and remained here for life. Timmy was a bartender in multiple Strip and Downtown Casino/hotels for the duration of his hospitality career. Timmy became known as "Tiger" by his many friends, associates, and loyal customers. During this time, Timmy also became a fixture in the Lake Mead boating community. Timmy was known by all as the Captain of The Tinkerbell and The Tinkerbell II for several decades. Not satisfied with an ordinary retirement, Timmy became a certified snow ski instructor in the 1990’s, turning a passion into a second career. Timmy continued skiing and teaching daily at Lee Canyon Ski Resort through his eighty-seventh birthday. Timmy’s greatest passion was skiing and he was a lucky man to travel the U.S., even the Swiss Alps, to ski around the world. Timmy is survived by his daughter, Arnetta Meagher, and his son-inlaw, Reid Fix of Las Vegas. Timmy is also survived by his sister, Janet Boone (Tom Graham) of Florida, and his two nieces and their families, Tracy Uguccioni (Todd) and Jan Lee (Chet Zochowski), all of Michigan. Lastly, Timmy leaves behind many, many friends from across the Las Vegas Valley and across the decades.

Timmy will be sorely missed but never forgotten. In remembrance of Timmy, please take a ride out to Lake Mead or up to Mount Charleston, have a toast to Timmy Meagher, and exclaim loudly, "I Feel Fine!" This would make him very happy.
