Eleanor Russo was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Nov. 12, 1928. She was the second youngest of eight, with four sisters and three brothers. She met her husband John when they were fourteen. In June of 1949 they wed at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn N.Y. After the birth of their third son, they opened a small luncheonet­te. Looking for a better life, they moved to Long Island in 1961. She later gave birth to another son and later twin girls. In 1979 the family relocated to Las Vegas where she found work at Circus Circus (30+yrs.)

She loved to read, play games with the family, music, and just have coffee and laughs with family and friends. She was always supportive, encouragin­g, loving, and kind. She had a great sense of humor and a huge tender heart. She never complained, even during her illness. She is preceded in death by her husband John, son Gino (Butch), and daughter Debbie. Eleanor is survived by sons and wives John and Donna, Joe and Terri, Danny and Wendy, daughter Roxanne, 13 grandchild­ren, 12 great-grandchild­ren, oh, and her dogs.

Services will be from 11am-12:45pm Tue., Nov. 8, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
