Volleyball team nets sweep in 13th consecutiv­e victory

Isabel Martin had 17 kills while hitting .371 to lead UNLV to its 13th straight volleyball victory, a 25-15, 25-21, 25-18 sweep over New Mexico in a Mountain West match Saturday at Cox Pavilion. Jhenna Gabriel had 39 assists and 19 digs, Maya Sands 18 digs and Isha Knight 17 digs for the Rebels (22-3, 131). The Lobos (14-10, 5-9) were outhit .250 to .131.

■ Men’s tennis: At Fertitta Tennis Complex, freshman Dusan Rsovac beat Utah junior Jayson Blando 6-4, 0-6, 10-6 to advance to the Easley Memorial Classic finals. Juniors Jackson Atherton and Anton Ornberg moved to the doubles final via walkover.

■ Women’s swimming: At Salt Lake City, the Rebels swept the distance events, with freshman Erika Carlson winning the 1,000 freestyle and senior Teneka Ash the 500 freestyle, in their 193-105 loss to Utah.

■ Men’s swimming: At Salt Lake City, sophomore Adnan Beji won the 100 and 200 breaststro­kes for a second straight meet in the Rebels’ 196-101 loss to Utah.
