Henley doubles lead to six strokes in Mexico tourney
Russell Henley rolled in a 25-foot birdie putt on his first hole and didn’t let up, doubling his World Wide Technology Championship lead to six strokes entering the final round in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The 33-year-old shot 6-under-par 65 for a 22-under 191 total. Will Gordon (68) and Patton Kizzire (67) were tied for second.
■ Champions: At Boca Raton, Fla., Bernhard Langer had 10 birdies in a season-best 9-under 63, two shots below his age, for an 11-under 133 total and a one-stroke lead over Paul Goydos (66) entering the final round of the Timbertech Championship, the second of three postseason tournaments.
■ LPGA: At Shiga, Japan, Momoko Ueda maintained her one-stroke lead in the Toto Japan Classic, shooting 4-under 68 for a 14-under 202 total entering the final round. Gemma Dryburgh (65) was alone in second.
