Celtics hit team-record 27 3-pointers, throttle Knicks

NEW YORK — Jaylen Brown scored 30 points and Jayson Tatum 26 for Boston, which made a franchise-record 27 3-pointers in a 133-118 victory over New York on Saturday.

Brown and Tatum each hit six 3-pointers, and Celtics reserve guard Sam Hauser set career highs with 16 points and five 3s. Malcolm Brogdon added 14 points.

Julius Randle scored 29 points and R.J. Barrett 27 for the Knicks, who lost for the fourth time in five games. Jalen Brunson added 22 points and 10 assists.

■ Hawks 124, Pelicans 121, OT: At Atlanta, Trae Young had 34 points and 10 assists for Atlanta, which dealt New Orleans (5-4) its third overtime loss this season. Dejounte Murray had 22 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds and Clint Capela 21 points and 19 rebounds for the Hawks. C.J. Mccollum and Zion Williamson each scored 29 points for the Pelicans.

■ Bucks 108, Thunder 94: At Milwaukee, Brook Lopez hit four of

Milwaukee’s 17 3-pointers and totaled 25 points as the Bucks extended their seasonopen­ing win streak to a franchise-record nine games. Giannis Antetokoun­mpo (sore left knee), the league’s No. 2 scorer at 32.6 points per game, sat out for Milwaukee.

■ Timberwolv­es 129, Rockets 117: At Minneapoli­s, Karl-anthony Towns scored 10 of his 25 points in the third quarter for Minnesota, which earlier placed center Rudy Gobert in the league’s health and safety protocol. Houston lost its sixth straight.

■ Kings 126, Magic 123, OT: At Orlando, Fla., De’aaron Fox hit a 3-pointer at the final buzzer and totaled 37 points for Sacramento, which overcame a 20-point third-quarter deficit. Orlando rookie Paolo Banchero had 33 points and 15 rebounds.

■ Nets 98, Hornets 94: At Charlotte, N.C., Kevin Durant scored 27 points for Brooklyn, which overcame a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit. Terry Rozier returned from a seven-game injury absence and led Charlotte with 25 points.
