TV stations are the real winners
Thinking back on those tedious (and often senseless) campaign ads we recently endured, I’m reminded of all the money that was wasted on politicians who rarely have our best interests at heart.
It seems the only true winners in this year’s midterms were the TV networks, who enjoyed their biggest payday since the last election.
In the future, I think it only fair that all the TV stations should gift the viewing public with a commercial-free day immediately following a national vote — or at the very least, an apology for the many inconveniences.
