■ Nets: Guard Kyrie Irving won’t play Sunday, coach Jacque Vaughn said, noting he is uncertain when the seventime All-star’s team-imposed suspension will end. Irving was banned a minimum of five games for “harmful impact of his conduct” relating to social media posts around a book and movie with antisemitic ideas. Sunday marks the ban’s fifth game.
■ Hornets: Forward Cody Martin, the team’s top defensive player, will be sidelined at least four weeks after having arthroscopic left knee surgery. The 27-year-old UNR product, who has spent his entire four-year NBA career with Charlotte, signed a four-year, $31.3 million deal this offseason.
