Finau takes four-shot lead into final round at Houston
Tony Finau shot a bogey-free 2-underpar 68 for a 15-under 195 total to take a four-stroke lead into the Cadence Bank Houston Open’s final round. The 33-yearold seeks his fifth tour win and first this year. Ben Taylor (65), back on the PGA Tour after a year on the Korn Ferry Tour, was alone in second.
■ Champions: At Phoenix, Padraig Harrington shot a bogey-free 9-under 62 for a 21-under 192 total to take a five-stroke lead over tour points leader Steven Alker (68) into the Charles Schwab Cup Championship’s final round. Harrington has to win and have Alker finish outside the top five to win the Cup.
■ LPGA: At Belleair, Fla., rookie Allisen Corpuz shot a second straight 5-under 65 for a 10-under 130 total and a one-stroke lead ahead of the Pelican Women’s Championship’s final round. Maja Stark (63), Lexi Thompson (67) and first-round leader Maria Fassi (69) were tied for second.
■ DP World: At Sun City, South Africa, Thomas Detry shot a second straight 5-under 67 to join Rasmus Hojgaard (69) atop the Nedbank Golf Challenge leaderboard at 9-under 207 entering the final round. Thriston Lawrence (65) and Branden Grace (71) were one stroke back.
