Washington stifles No. 6 Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. — Peyton Henry kicked a 43-yard field goal with 51 seconds left as No. 24 Washington snapped No. 6 Oregon’s eight-game win streak with a 37-34 victory Saturday.

Michael Penix Jr. threw for 408 yards and two TDS for the Huskies (8-2, 5-2 Pac-12), who had been 0-7 against ranked Ducks teams. Bo Nix threw for 280 yards and two TDS and ran for a TD for Oregon (9-2, 6-1), which had won 23 straight home games.

■ No. 1 Georgia 38, Mississipp­i State 19: At Starkville, Miss., Stetson Bennett threw for 289 yards and three TDS for Georgia (10-0, 7-0 Southeaste­rn), which held MSU (6-4, 3-4) to 47 yards rushing on 15 attempts.

■ No. 2 Ohio State 56, Indiana 14: At Columbus, Ohio, Miyan Williams ran for 147 yards and a TD for the Buckeyes (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) before exiting with a second-quarter injury, and C.J. Stroud threw five TD passes. The Hoosiers (3-7, 1-6) yielded 662 yards of offense.

■ No. 3 Michigan 34, Nebraska 3: At Ann Arbor, Mich., Blake Corum ran for 162 yards and a TD, his seventh straight 100-yard game, for the Wolverines (100, 7-0 Big Ten), who dealt the Cornhusker­s (3-7, 2-5) their 21st straight loss against Top 25 foes.

■ No. 4 Texas Christian 17, No. 18 Texas 10: At Austin, Texas, Kendre Miller ran for 138 yards, including a 75-yard TD in the third quarter, for the Horned Frogs (10-0, 7-0 Big 12), who held the Longhorns (6-4, 4-3) to 199 yards of offense — including 29 yards rushing by top running back Bijan Robinson.

■ No. 5 Tennessee 66, Missouri 24: At Knoxville, Tenn., Hendon Hooker threw for 355 yards and three TDS and ran for a score for the Volunteers (9-1, 5-1 SEC), who led 28-17 at halftime. The Tigers (4-6, 2-5) ran for 173 yards, the most allowed by Tennessee this season.

■ No. 7 Louisiana State 13, Arkansas 10: At Fayettevil­le, Ark., linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. had four sacks and two forced fumbles for the Tigers (8-2, 6-1 SEC), who held the Razorbacks (5-5, 2-4) to 249 yards of offense. Josh Williams ran for 122 yards and a TD for LSU.

■ No. 8 Southern California 55, Colorado 17: At Los Angeles, Caleb Williams passed for 268 yards and three TDS and ran for two scores Friday for the Trojans (9-1, 7-1 Pac-12), who lost top running back Travis Dye to a season-ending left leg injury. The Buffaloes (1-9, 1-6) are 0-16 against USC in a series that began in 1927.

■ No. 12 Clemson 31, Louisville 16: At Clemson, S.C., D.J. Uiagalelei threw for a TD and ran for another for the Tigers (9-1, 7-0 Atlantic Coast) in their 39th straight home win. The Cardinals (6-4, 3-4) lost standout QB Malik Cunningham to a second-quarter injury.

■ No. 14 Penn State 30,

Maryland 0: At State College, Pa., Nick Singleton ran for 122 yards and scored two TDS for the Nittany Lions (8-2, 5-2 Big Ten), who had seven sacks. The Terrapins (6-4, 3-4) had 27 first-half yards of offense.

■ No. 15 North Carolina 36, Wake Forest 34: At Winston-salem, N.C., Noah Burnette kicked a go-ahead 33-yard field goal with 2:12 left for the Tar Heels (91, 6-0 ACC), who twice stopped the Demon Deacons (6-4, 2-4) on fourth down late.

■ No. 22 Central Florida 38, No. 16 Tulane 31: At New Orleans, John Rhys Plumlee ran for 176 yards and two TDS and passed for 132 yards and a TD for the Knights (8-2, 5-1 American Athletic), who tied the Green Wave (8-2, 5-1) atop the league standings.

■ Boston College 21, No. 17 North Carolina State 20: At Raleigh, N.C., Emmett Morehead threw for 330 yards and three TDS, including a go-ahead 2-yard TD to wide receiver Joseph Griffin Jr. with 14 seconds left, for the Eagles (3-7, 2-5 ACC), who halted a four-game skid. The Wolfpack (7-3, 3-3) had four second-half turnovers.

■ Connecticu­t 36, No. 19 Liberty 33: At East Hartford, Conn., Zion Turner threw a go-ahead 30-yard TD pass to wide receiver Kevens Clercius with 5:43 left for the Huskies (6-5). T.J. Green ran for 119 yards and a TD for the Flames (8-2).

■ No. 20 Notre Dame 35, Navy 32: At Baltimore, wide receiver Braden Lenzy reached around cornerback Mbiti Williams Jr. with both arms to make a spectacula­r 38-yard TD catch, one of four TD passes by Drew Pyne before halftime for the Fighting Irish (7-3). The Midshipmen (3-7) trailed 35-13 at intermissi­on.

■ Purdue 31, No. 21 Illinois 24: At Champaign, Ill., Aidan O’connell passed for 237 yards and three TDS, two to tight end Payne Durham, for the Boilermake­rs (6-4, 4-3 Big Ten), who dealt the Illini (7-3, 4-3) their second straight loss. Illinois running back Chase Brown, the nation’s leading rusher, exited with a leg injury.

■ No. 23 Kansas State 31, Baylor 3: At Waco, Texas, Will Howard threw for three TDS after QB Adrian Martinez exited with an injury for the Wildcats (7-3, 5-2 Big 12), who had lost four straight to the Bears (6-4, 4-3).

■ No. 25 Florida State 38, Syracuse 3: At Syracuse, N.Y., Jordan Travis threw for three TDS, caught a TD pass and ran for a score for the Seminoles (7-3, 5-3 ACC), who held the Orange (6-4, 3-3) to nine first downs.

MOUNTAIN WEST

■ Wyoming 14, Colorado

State 13: At Fort Collins, Colo., Jayden Clemons threw a goahead 32-yard TD pass to wide receiver Alex Brown with 10:47 left for the Cowboys (7-3, 5-1), who overcame a 10-0 deficit. Wide receiver Tory Horton had seven catches for 144 yards for the Rams (2-8, 2-4).

■ Air Force 35, New Mexico 3: At Air Force Academy, Colo., Haaziq Daniels ran for 113 yards and two TDS and threw for a TD for the Falcons (7-3, 3-3), who held the Lobos (2-8, 0-6) to 172 yards of offense — including 91 through three quarters.
