Hawks edge Raptors at buzzer in overtime

ATLANTA — Trae Young hit A.J. Griffin with a long pass for a wide-open layup at the overtime buzzer as Atlanta, after rallying late in regulation, beat Toronto 124-122 on Saturday.

Young had 33 points and 12 assists, De’andre Hunter 22 points and Clint Capela 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Hawks, who have scored at least 100 points in 37 straight games dating to last season — the NBA’S longest such active streak.

The Raptors led 108-101 with 2:36 to go in the fourth quarter. Atlanta then went on a 10-run in a 90-second span to go up 111-109 on Young’s two free throws with 59 seconds to go.

Toronto had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but Scottie Barnes missed a layup and a putback attempt at the buzzer.

■ Pacers 114, Magic 113: At Indianapol­is, Tyrese Haliburton had 22 points and 14 assists for Indiana, which went ahead to stay on Aaron Nesmith’s two free throws with 6.9 seconds left. Franz Wagner had 29 points to lead three 20-point scorers for Orlando.

■ Timberwolv­es 112, 76ers 109: At Philadelph­ia, Anthony Edwards scored 25 points for Minnesota, which had a 20-point lead cut to one in the final minute of its third straight win. Joel Embiid had 32 points for Philadelph­ia.
