He leaves behind his partner, Bernadene Bellender.

Lester enjoyed ranching and deer hunting in Northern Nevada and his years as a Hoover Dam tour guide. He would always be the first one to pull over and help people in distress on the side of the road. He enjoyed daily walks, followed by sharing a bowl of ice cream with his dog MISTY. This was his happy place. Besides his partner Bernie, MISTY was his best friend. He was a man of character.

His son Lester Charles Burgwardt III, his wife and his children, Janet S. Burgwardt, Margaret E. Burgwardt and John C. Burgwardt.

His son Craig Thomas Burgwardt and his daughter Calli A. Burgwardt.

His son Dr. Kent Meyer Burgwardt and his wife and their children Nicholas A. Burgwardt and his wife, and their child Natalie Burgwardt; Dr. Sean Burgwardt and his wife, and their child Colton Burgwardt; Evanna M. Burgwardt, RN and her husband; Alysha A. Burgwardt; Dr. Michael Mancini and his wife; Nicole Mancini; CPA and Chelsey Mancini, CPA.

His daughter Connie A. Burgwardto­dgers, her husband, and their children, Charles J. Odgers, his wife and their children Aubriana , Kasen and Colton; Christophe­r A. Odgers, Esq.; Cody W. Odgers, his wife Kylie and their child Adaline A. Odgers with whom Lester spoke with daily and loved dearly; Chase R. Odgers; and Catherine A. Odgers.

A celebratio­n of his life will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 1:20 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lester's name with the Disabled American Veterans, Henderson Chapter 12 who provided support to Lester over many years. A celebratio­n of life will be held from 1:20 PM to 1:45 PM on 2023-01-19 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV.
