Jackson-davis, Indiana beat top-ranked Purdue

Trayce Jackson-davis scored 25 points to help No. 21 Indiana top No. 1 Purdue 79-74. The Hoosiers (16-7, 7-5 Big Ten) built a 16-point first-half lead in their fourth win at Assembly Hall over a top-ranked team. Zach Edey had 33 points and 18 rebounds for the Boilermake­rs (22-2, 11-2), who had held 24 straight foes to 70 points or fewer. They trailed 71-70 with 2:03 but didn’t take the lead.

■ No. 2 Tennessee 46, No. 25 Auburn 43: At Knoxville, Tenn., Josiahjord­an James had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Volunteers (19-4, 8-2 SEC), who shot 27.0 percent while missing 19 of 21 3-point tries. The Tigers (17-6, 7-3) shot 23.6 percent while missing 24 of 27 3s.

■ Virginia Tech 74, No. 6 Virginia 68: At Blacksburg, Va., Sean Pedulla scored 22 points for the Hokies (14-10, 4-8 ACC), who shot 50 percent for a fourth straight game and didn’t trail. The Cavaliers (17-4, 9-3) had won seven in a row.

■ No. 10 Texas 69, No. 7 Kansas

State 66: At Manhattan, Kan., Christian Bishop scored all 14 of his points in the second half, including a go-ahead layup with 37 seconds left, for the Longhorns (19-4, 8-2 Big 12). The Wildcats (18-5, 6-4) led by 14 before intermissi­on.

Kansas 53: At Ames, Iowa, Jaren Holmes scored 15 points for the Cyclones (16-6, 7-3 Big 12), who led for all but 1:14 and moved to 12-0 at home. Jalen Wilson had 26 points for the Jayhawks (18-5, 6-4).

79: At Fort Collins, Colo., Steven Ashworth hit eight of the 18 3-pointers by the Aggies (19-5, 8-3) and totaled 26 points. Isaiah Stevens scored 21 of his 25 points in the second half for the Rams (10-14, 2-9), who lost their fifth straight. CSU shot 55.2 percent despite missing 14 of 17 3-point tries.
