Three 20-point scorers lift Purdue past No. 1 Arizona
Fletcher Loyer had 27 points to lead three 20-point scorers for No. 3 Purdue in its 92-84 win over No. 1 Arizona on Saturday in Indianapolis.
Braden Smith added 26 points and Zach Edey 22 for the Boilermakers (10-1), who defeated a No. 1-ranked team for the first time since beating Arizona 72-69 on Nov. 25, 2000 — also in Indianapolis.
Caleb Love scored 29 points and Keshad Johnson 24 for the Wildcats (81), who trailed by 15 before an 11-0 run got them within 67-63. Purdue led 49-38 at halftime.
■ No. 2 Kansas 75, Indiana 71: At Bloomington, Ind., Kevin Mccullar hit four free throws in the final minute and totaled 21 points for the Jayhawks (10-1), who trailed by as many as 13 and didn’t lead untl 4:53 remained. Trey Galloway scored 28 points for the Hoosiers (7-3).
■ No. 4 Houston 70, Texas A&M 66: At Houston, Emanuel Sharp scored 21 points for the Cougars (11-0), who went ahead to stay with 1:14 left. The Aggies (7-4) trailed 53-32 with 15:30 to go.
■ Michigan State 88, No. 6 Baylor 64: At Detroit, Tyson Walker scored 18 of his 25 points before intermission for the Spartans (5-5), who shot 63.3 percent and held 30-point leads in each half. The Bears (9-1) had 21 turnovers.
■ No. 8 Creighton 85, Alabama 82: At Omaha, Neb., Trey Alexander scored 22 points for the Bluejays (9-2), who shot 55.8 percent. The Crimson Tide (6-4) trailed for the final 7:28.
■ No. 14 Kentucky 87, No. 9 North Carolina 83: At Atlanta, Rob Dillingham scored 17 points for the Wildcats (8-2), who had a 43-23 edge in rebounds. The Tar Heels (7-3) took their first lead at 7271 with 5:15 left.
■ Memphis 79, No. 13 Clemson 77:
At Memphis, Tenn., David Jones scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half for Memphis (8-2), which was down 39-32 at halftime. Clemson (9-1) trailed for the final 5:11.
■ No. 15 Florida Atlantic 64, St. Bonaventure 54: At Springfield, Mass., Johnell Davis scored 16 points for the Owls (9-2), who erased a 41-38 deficit with a 14-0 run. The Bonnies (7-3) led by 10 in the first half.
■ No. 19 Texas 96, Louisiana State 85: At Houston, Max Abmas had 20 points and seven assists for the Longhorns (8-2), who shot 54.2 percent. Jordan Wright scored 31 of his 33 points in the second half for the Tigers (6-5), who trailed 56-37 at intermission.
■ No. 20 James Madison 88, Hampton 71: At Hampton, Va., reserve Xavier Brown had 17 points to lead six double-figure scorers for the Dukes (100), who overcame a 10-point first-half deficit. The Pirates (4-6) hosted a Top 25 team for the first time in 25 years.
■ No. 22 Virginia 56, Northeastern 54: At Charlottesville, Va., Reece Beekman hit the tying free throws with 52.7 seconds left and the winning jumper with 5.1 seconds to go and totaled 21 points for the Cavaliers (9-1). The Huskies (4-7) led 30-24 at halftime.
■ No. 24 Miami 84, La Salle 77: At Coral Gables, Fla., Wooga Poplar scored 25 points for the Hurricanes (8-2), who had an 18-point lead cut to four with 4:24 left. The Explorers (8-3) were outrebounded 39-25.
■ No. 25 Northwestern 56, Depaul 46: At Chicago, the Wildcats (8-2) won a road game as a ranked team for the first time since 1969 despite shooting 35.6 percent. The Blue Demons (2-8) shot 28.9 percent.
Mountain West men
■ Utah State 54, San Francisco 53: At Salt Lake City, Kalifa Sakho tipped in a missed shot for the go-ahead points with 15 seconds left for the Aggies (111) in their 10th straight win. The Dons (8-4) yielded 2-for-21 3-point shooting.
■ Texas-arlington 76, Air Force 73: At Fort Worth, Texas, Phillip Russell scored 28 points for the Mavericks (64), who didn’t trail in the second half. Rytis Petraitis had 21 points for the Falcons (7-4), who shot 52.0 percent despite missing 12 of 17 3-point tries.

■ No. 1 South Carolina 99, Presbyterian 29: At Columbia, S.C., Milaysia Fulwiley had 18 points to lead seven double-figure scorers for the Gamecocks (10-0), who held the Blue Hose (8-4) to 15.6 percent shooting.
■ No. 3 North Carolina State 66, South Florida 54: At Tampa, Fla., the Wolfpack moved to 11-0 for the fourth time in 11 years under coach Wes Moore. The Bulls (7-4) were outscored 42-10 in the paint.
■ No. 4 Iowa 104, Cleveland State 75: At Des Moines, Iowa, Caitlin Clark scored 38 points for the Hawkeyes (11-1) to reach No. 9 on the all-time scoring list. The Vikings (9-2) had won nine in a row.
■ No. 10 Baylor 75, No. 24 Miami 57: At San Antonio, Sarah Andrews scored 18 points for the Bears (9-0), who led for all but 1 minute, 34 seconds. The Hurricanes (8-1) had 15 turnovers.
