No. 1 Uconn hammers No. 4 Marquette, wins 14th straight

Donovan Clingan had 17 points and 10 rebounds as No. 1 Connecticu­t routed No. 4 Marquette 81-53 on Saturday in Hartford, Connecticu­t, in the biggest blowout in a top-five conference matchup in AP poll history. The Huskies (24-2, 14-1 Big East) won their 14th straight and halted an eight-game win streak by the Golden Eagles (19-6, 10-4).

■ No. 3 Houston 82, Texas 61: At Houston, L.J. Cryer scored 26 points for the Cougars (22-3, 9-3 Big 12), who scored 19 points off 14 turnovers by the Longhorns (16-9, 5-7) in their 19th straight home win.

■ No. 6 Kansas 67, No. 25 Oklahoma 57: At Norman, Okla., Hunter Dickinson had 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Jayhawks (20-6, 8-5 Big 12), who overcame an 11-point first-half deficit. The Sooners (18-8, 6-7) missed 18 of 22 shots after intermissi­on.

■ No. 9 Duke 76, Florida State 67: At Tallahasse­e, Fla., Jared Mccain set a program freshman record with eight 3-pointers in 11 tries and totaled 35 points for the Blue Devils (205, 11-3 ACC), who reached 20 wins for a 27th straight season. The Seminoles (13-12, 7-7) were outrebound­ed 35-22.

■ No. 10 Iowa State 82, Texas Tech 74: At Ames, Iowa, UNLV transfer Keshon Gilbert had 24 points and eight rebounds for the Cyclones (20-5, 9-3 Big 12), who scored 28 points off 16 turnovers by the Red Raiders (18-7, 7-5) while improving to 15-0 at home.

■ Louisiana State 64, No. 11 South Carolina 63: At Columbia, S.C., Jordan Wright hit two free throws with five seconds left and totaled 14 points for the Tigers (13-12, 5-7 SEC). The Gamecocks (21-5, 9-4) blew a 16-point second-half lead.

■ No. 22 Kentucky 70, No. 13 Auburn 59: At Auburn, Ala., Antonio Reeves scored 22 points for the Wildcats (18-7, 8-4 SEC), who didn’t trail, held the Tigers (20-6, 9-4) to 30.9 percent shooting and halted their 16-game home win streak.

■ Oklahoma State 93, No. 19 Brigham Young 83: At Stillwater, Okla., freshman Jamyron Keller scored 22 points in his first start for the Cowboys (11-14, 3-9 Big 12), who shot 59.6 percent. The Cougars (18-7, 6-6), leading the nation in made 3-pointers, missed 27 of 35 shots from beyond the arc.

■ Iowa 88, No. 20 Wisconsin 86, OT: At Iowa City, Iowa, Tony Perkins hit a go-ahead layup with 1.3 seconds left in overtime and totaled 18 points for the Hawkeyes (15-11, 7-8 Big Ten), who overcame a 13-point first-half deficit. Steven Crowl scored 22 points for the Badgers (17-9, 9-6).

■ No. 21 Virginia 49, Wake Forest 47: At Charlottes­ville, Va., Reece Beekman scored 20 points for the Cavaliers (20-6, 11-4 ACC), who missed 10 of 11 free throws but didn’t trail over the final 12:58. The Demon Deacons (16-9, 8-6) shot 34.5 percent and had 13 shots blocked.

■ Southern Illinois 74, No. 23 Indiana State 69: At Carbondale, Ill., the Salukis (17-10, 9-7 Missouri Valley) overcame a 13-point deficit and halted a 17-game skid against ranked foes. The Sycamores (22-5, 13-3) had 16 turnovers. Mountain West

■ Colorado State 75, Utah State 55: At Fort Collins, Colo., Isaiah Stevens had 18 points and eight assists for the Rams (20-6, 8-5), who moved to 14-1 at home. The Aggies (21-5, 9-4) fell into a tie with San Diego State atop the league standings.

■ Boise State 90, Fresno State 66: At Boise, Idaho, Tyson Degenhart scored 24 points for the Broncos (17-8, 8-4), who shot 58.8 percent. The Bulldogs (11-15, 4-9) trailed 48-33 at halftime.
