Santana puts house on block

-

Got $3.5 million? Then you can buy Carlos Santana’s old Vegas home, and you would be living next door to him — because he is moving a few feet away into a fancier $6 million house dubbed “the ultimate party pad.”

A few years ago, Santana moved to Vegas to perform regularly on the Strip. (His next House of Blues gigs are Sept. 11-22.)

The guitar legend’s new secluded Summerlin abode (7,785 square feet) has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and it is in The Ridges, west of the Las Vegas Beltway and South Town Center Drive, according to Redfin.com, a nosy real estate site.

“His new home,” Redfin reports, “has an extra bedroom, bathroom, and $2 million worth of electronics.” “It’s the ultimate party pad, with a pool table, pinball machines, air hockey, a putting green, outdoor pool, home theater and bar.”

That pool is a large infinity pool. Yahoo reports the house comes with a gym, two game rooms, a nitrogen-controlled wine system, a $400,000 3D home theater, and a $2 million electronics system powers the security, lights, air conditioning and more.

The showers have Surround Sound. Ceilings are sky high. There are three fireplaces.

Yahoo quoted a listing agent saying Santana’s place is Vegas’ most expensive buy, per square foot, in the past four years, and fifth-most expensive ever.

Santana closed on the house on June 3. His slightly smaller $3.5 million house is on the same street. His HOA is $300 per month.

He told me in 2010 he was moving here for his performance residencies but also because he enjoyed working with the charity Three Square Food Bank, and his taxes are lower in Nevada than in California.

In 2010, he married esteemed rock and jazz drummer Cindy Blackman-Santana in Maui, Hawaii. The Santanas live not just in Vegas, but in California, too. GORDON WHO?

Do you want authentic fish and chips and high tea in Vegas? BBC America just published “10 British Things About Las Vegas.”

The best-of list disses Gordon Ramsay’s Caesars Palace eatery by putting it in ninth place behind Lazy Joe’s Fish & Chips, 7835 S. Rainbow Blvd. The top five:

1. A “posh” pub named English’s Quintessentially British, in Town Square, for fish and chips and high tea.

2. British Auto Club of Las Vegas.

3. British Grocers, 375 S. Decatur Blvd., for bangers and “digestive biscuits,” whatever that is. The store, however, already has closed.

4. Shakespeare’s Grill & Pub, 790 Coronado Center Drive in Henderson.

5. Royal Links golf club, 5995 E. Vegas Valley Drive, for British monuments, cuisine and castle clubhouse.

Brits are Vegas’ top international visitors. Find a link to the full list on my Twitter account (Twitter.com/ VegasAnonymous). OVERHEARD IN VEGAS

1. In the lady’s room in a top Vegas strip club Saturday night:

Stripper A: “What’s your name?”

Stripper B: “Here? Brown Spice — I think.”

2. A DJ at Electric Daisy Carnival met a few pretty ladies who expressed some desire.

But they didn’t make hookup plans with him. Instead they left to meet other people. He lamented:

“They may meet so many DJs, they’re not impressed by them anymore.” GUESS WHO’S BACK

The original 21st century Vegas girl — Tara Reid — went to MGM’s dayclub-pool Wet Republic and crowd-surfed in DJ Steve Aoki’s rubber raft.

She predates Paris Hilton here, not to mention Kim Kardashian, but hasn’t been around for ages.

Reid and boyfriend Erez Eisen of DJ duo Infected Mushroom partied with Aoki and DJ/ Covergirls Nervo.
