Craig Campbell to headline at Mountain’s Edge
Country in the Park slated for May 9
Get your cowboy boots and hat ready for the ninth annual Country in the Park at Exploration Park in the Mountain’s Edge master-planned community. The free outdoor concert and festival, presented by Mountain’s Edge and New Country KWNR-FM (95.5) The Bull, will run from 2 to 8 p.m. May 9.
Rising country music star Craig Campbell headlines the event; Raelynn from second season of “The Voice” will open for him. Country in the Park also features a beer garden, food vendors, booths, exhibits and more.
“Country in the Park is such a fun day for families and the community, and we and New Country 95.5 The Bull are happy to provide it for free,” said Deonna Stocker, Mountain’s Edge’s manager of information center operations. “And the Exploration Park amphitheater with its mountain backdrop provides a beautiful setting to enjoy Craig Campbell and Raelynn perform.”
Campbell released his self-titled debut album, “Craig Campbell” in 2011. His second album, “Never Regret,” released in 2013, included the single “Keep Them Kisses Comin,’” which reached No. 9 on the Billboard U.S. Country Airplay chart. Campbell is working on his third studio album.
Raelynn, born Racheal Lynn Woodward in Baytown, Texas, was a quar- terfinalist on “The Voice” in 2012. She released her debut EP “Me” in January, which landed at No. 7 on the Top Country Albums chart and No. 49 on the Billboard 200. Her hit single “God Made Girls” rose to No. 7 on the Billboard Country chart, and was certified gold.
Thrillbilly Deluxe, a local country and southern rock band, also will perform. The foursome has built a dedicated and growing following that enjoys the band’s covers of hit songs as well as classics and standards.
Besides the concert, festival attendees are invited to tour the fast-selling Mountain’s Edge master-planned community, and its many neighborhoods by the industry’s top homebuilders. Floor plans are available for every lifestyle and include offerings from DR Horton, Lennar, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes and Ryland Homes.
Mountain’s Edge, at 9725 S. Buffalo Drive, was developed by Focus Property Group. It is recognized for proximity to the Red Rock National Conservation Area, employment and Strip entertainment offerings; a wealth of floor plans and single and multifamily subdivisions from top builders; parks, trails and open spaces; and public facilities and schools.
