Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love dislocated his left shoulder in the first quarter against the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

The Cavaliers said Love’s status will be updated following a full evaluation at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health, but ESPN reported Sunday night that Love is expected to miss at least two weeks. The injury is not believed to be serious enough to knock him out of the rest of the playoffs, the report said.

NBA NOTES

With 5:22 remaining in the first quarter Sunday, Love was chasing a long rebound with Boston forward Kelly Olynyk, whose right arm locked around Love’s left. A foul was called on Olynyk and Love grabbed his shoulder and ran straight to the locker room at the opposite corner of the court.

“I thought it was a bush-league play,” Love said after the game. “I have no doubt in my mind that he did it on purpose.”

Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith was ejected from the game after injuring Celtics forward Jae Crowder as the pair jockeyed for rebounding position.

The Cavaliers won 101-93 to sweep the best-of-7 first-round Eastern Conference series.

■ GRIZZLIES — Point guard Mike Conley, who was hospitalized Saturday night with a head injury he sustained during a playoff victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, returned to Memphis for further evaluation.

Conley was ruled out of Game 4 tonight in Portland. The Grizzlies’ 115-109 victory gave them a 3-0 lead in the firstround, best-of-7 series.

Conley left Saturday’s game with 3:04 to play in the third quarter after he was inadvertently hit in the head by an elbow from Portland guard C.J. McCollum.

■ PELICANS — New Orleans forward Anthony Davis, eligible for a contract extension this summer, is in line to get a maximum five-year deal that could reportedly exceed $140 million.

According to ESPN’s league sources, Pelicans officials plan to be aggressive as possible in presenting Davis, 22, with a maximum five-year deal.
