Police searching for four men in shooting of 14-year-old boy
Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help in finding four men involved in the shooting of a 14-year-old boy early Tuesday morning near Chinatown, the department announced Wednesday.
Officers responded about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to an apartment complex at 4060 Twain Ave., near Wynn Road, where they found the boy with a gunshot wound.
The teen was taken to University Medical Center. Police said Tuesday the wounds did not appear to be life threatening.
On Wednesday, police said he had been shot in the neck.
The boy was sitting in the backseat of a car when he and three others in the vehicle encountered four men walking, police said. Investigators don’t know who those men are.
One of the men, who was walking, pulled a gun and fired several rounds into the vehicle, striking the boy, police said.
Police described the men only as black and in their late 20s. Two were wearing white T-shirts, and one was wearing a red T-shirt. One of the men had dreadlocks, police said.
