Bills RB McCoy ‘done’ with talking about former coach, Eagles’ Kelly

-

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy didn’t have a lot to say Wednesday about the remarks he made last month regarding his former coach, Chip Kelly, in ESPN The Magazine.

McCoy had said the Philadelphia Eagles’ coach may make some of his roster decisions based on race, hence his trading of McCoy to the Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso in March and last year’s release of wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

Since the story was published, McCoy had not spoken to the local media. But when he finally agreed to do so Monday, it was clear he didn’t want to spend any time talking about the past.

“I have nothing to say about that,” he said. “I’m in Buffalo. Everything in Philadelphia is over, and I have nothing more to say about it. It is what it is. Everybody can make their own thoughts and assumptions, but I’m done talking about it.”

Added McCoy: “I don’t have to explain myself to nobody. Nobody. I don’t. I said what I said, said how I felt at the time. And I’m done with that.”
