-

At Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Mo. STORYLINE: With a patchwork offensive line, Kansas City (6-5) rallied from an early 10-0 deficit for its fifth straight victory, beating Buffalo (5-6). The Chiefs had seven blockers active for the game and lost three to injuries: left guard Jeff Allen (ankle), left tackle Eric Fisher (neck) and center Mitch Morse (concussion). But after gaining only 29 yards in the first quarter, Kansas City’s offense got rolling with Alex Smith, Jeremy Maclin and Spencer Ware. Smith passed for 255 yards and two touchdowns; Maclin had nine catches for 160 yards, including a 41-yard TD; and Ware rushed for 114 yards on 19 carries, including a 3-yard TD. Cairo Santos made second-half field goals of 49, 38 and 37 yards. Buffalo led 16-7 late in the first half, with Tyrod Taylor throwing touchdown passes to Sammy Watkins for 21 and 28 yards. Taylor finished with 291 yards and three TDs. Watkins had six catches for 158 yards, all in the first half. Kansas City rallied for a 21-16 lead, with Maclin’s TD catch with 1:48 left in the second quarter and Travis Kelce’s 15-yard TD grab in the third, and Santos’ field goals kept them ahead the rest of the way. QUOTABLE: “We had a couple starters go down and we had guys stand up, guys like Zach Fulton who came in and played center under these conditions (cold and rain) after coming in at guard when Jeff Allen went down.” — Chief coach Andy Reid NEXT: Chiefs (-3) at Raiders, 1:05 p.m. Sunday; Texans at Bills (-3), 10 a.m. Sunday
