Colts 25, Buccaneers 12

-

At Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis STORYLINE: The Colts (6-5) relied on their 40-and-over tandem of Matt Hasselbeck and Adam Vinatieri to rally past Tampa Bay (5-6) for their third straight win. The 40-year-old Hasselbeck, again filling in well for Andrew Luck, threw two touchdown passes to T.Y. Hilton in the second half, and the 42-year-old Vinatieri, the NFL’s oldest player, kicked four field goals to help Indianapolis remain tied with Houston atop the AFC South. Hasselbeck is 4-0 in place of Luck, who has a lacerated kidney and an abdominal injury. He was 26 of 42 for 315 yards. Hilton made six catches for 95 yards, including TDs of 19 and 3, and Donte Moncrief had six grabs for 114 yards. Vinatieri’s field goals covered 49, 27, 26 and 44 yards. A 31-yard completion to Moncrief set up Hilton’s first touchdown midway through the third quarter and gave the Colts a 16-12 lead. Hilton’s second TD ended the scoring with 5:53 to play and came after the Bucs jumped offside on a field-goal attempt, extending the drive and moving the ball to the 6. Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston, a week after throwing for five touchdowns against Philadelphia, was 20 of 36 for 245 yards, including a 20-yard TD to Cameron Brate. The Bucs committed 12 penalties for 95 yards. QUOTABLE: (Hasselbeck and Vinatieri) are a pro’s pro. This is not work to them. When it is, I’m sure they will hang up their cleats.” — Colts coach Chuck Pagano NEXT: Colts at Steelers (-7), 5:30 p.m. Sunday; Falcons at Buccaneers (-2), 10 a.m. Sunday
