■ White Sox 3, Cubs 0 — At Chicago, James Shields (5-12) allowed four singles in 7 2/3 innings, Adam Eaton homered and the White Sox stayed unbeaten since Chris Sale’s suspension. Shields struck out five and continued his turnaround from a terrible first three starts with Chicago.

■ Blue Jays 7, Padres 6, 12 innings — At Toronto, Devon Travis scored the winning run on a wild pitch, and Toronto rallied for three runs in the 12th inning for a walkoff win. Matt Kemp put San Diego in front with a two-run homer in the top of the 12th, but the lead wasn’t held.

■ Rockies 6, Orioles 3 — At Baltimore, Carlos Gonzalez and Trevor Story had two RBIs apiece in a four-run third inning, and Colorado ended Baltimore’s five-game winning streak. Chris Tillman (14-3) gave up six runs in five innings to earn his first loss at home this season.

■ Mariners 7, Pirates 4 — At Pittsburgh, Felix Hernandez (5-4) settled down after a shaky start and picked up his first victory in more than two months for Seattle. Francisco Liriano (6-10) hit his second career home run but surrendere­d seven runs in just 3 1/3 innings.

■ Braves 2, Twins 0 — At Minneapoli­s, Lucas Harrell (2-2) pitched six innings, Adonis Garcia homered and Atlanta won a matchup of the worst teams in the majors. Ervin Santana (3-9) gave up seven hits in nine innings but was tagged with the loss.

■ Dodgers 3, Rays 2 — At Los Angeles, Bud Norris (3-2) pitched shutout ball into the seventh inning, and Los Angeles won for the fourth time in five games. Yasmani Grandal his a leadoff homer in the seventh for the Dodgers. Tampa Bay scored two runs in the eighth but its rally fizzled.
