■ Blue Jays 6, Orioles 5 — At Toronto, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacio­n and Troy Tulowitzki each hit a solo home run in the first inning off Kevin Gausman (2-8) to help Marco Estrada (6-4) halt a four-start winless streak. Encarnacio­n reached base three times and scored twice.

■ Rays 5, Yankees 1 — At St. Petersburg, Fla., Logan Forsythe and Corey Dickerson homered in the first inning off Ivan Nova to back Jake Odorizzi (5-5), who shut out New York on six hits and struck out five over 6 2/3 innings. Nova (7-6) gave up five runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings.

■ Indians 5, Athletics 3 — At Cleveland, Abraham Almonte scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in Cleveland’s four-run seventh. The Indians erased a 3-1 deficit after being held to four hits through six innings by Kendall Graveman (7-7). Jason Kipnis hit a bases-loaded single to tie it.

■ Tigers 14, Astros 6 — At Detroit, Tyler Collins and Justin Upton each hit a threerun homer to help Detroit to its fourth straight win. The Tigers were coming off a three-game sweep at Fenway Park and moved a half-game behind Houston, with both chasing Boston for the second AL wild card.

■ Rangers 8, Royals 3 — At Arlington, Texas, Rougned Odor homered twice to back A.J. Griffin (4-1) in his longest outing in seven starts since coming off the disabled list with right shoulder stiffness. Griffin held Kansas City to two runs on three hits in 5 2/3 innings.

■ Twins 2, White Sox 1 — At Minneapoli­s, pinch hitter Joe Mauer drew a basesloade­d walk with one out in the 12th inning to lift Minnesota, which loaded the bases on a hit-batsman and two walks. Ricky Nolasco limited Chicago to Adam Eaton’s leadoff home run in eight innings.

■ Red Sox 6, Angels 2 — At Anaheim, Calif., Rick Porcello (14-2) pitched a fivehitter for his first complete game since 2014, and Xander Bogaerts homered and drove in three runs as Boston halted a four-game slide. Porcello struck out three while winning his sixth straight start.
