■ Rockies 6, Mets 1 — At New York, Carlos Gonzalez homered and drove in four runs to back Tyler Chatwood (10-6), who held New York to one run on three hits in seven innings, as Colorado won its fourth straight. Chatwood is 6-0 with a 1.30 ERA on the road and 4-6 with a 5.69 ERA at home.

■ Braves 2, Phillies 1 — At Atlanta, rookie Tyrell Jenkins (1-2) held Philadelph­ia to one unearned run on four hits and four walks in six innings for his first major league victory. Jenkins began the game with a 6.43 ERA and 26 baserunner­s allowed in his first three starts, spanning 14 innings.

■ Brewers 3, Pirates 1 — At Milwaukee, Sierra Vista product Chris Carter hit a tworun homer to back Junior Guerra (7-2), who held Pittsburgh to one run on four hits and one walk and struck out five in 8 2/3 innings. Carter’s home run was his 23rd of the season and first since July 8.

■ Nationals 4, Giants 1 — At San Francisco, Max Scherzer (11-6) held San Francisco to one run in seven innings, and Brandon Crawford lined into a bases-loaded triple play to end the eighth. NL batting leader Daniel Murphy exited with an apparent injury after hitting an RBI triple in the Nats’ two-run fifth.

■ Dodgers 9, Diamondbac­ks 7 — At Los Angeles, Joc Pederson and Chase Utley each hit a two-run homer in Los Angeles’ five-run seventh, which answered the seven runs Arizona scored in the top of the inning. Paul Goldschmid­t went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Diamondbac­ks.

■ Reds 6, Padres 0 — At San Diego, Eugenio Suarez hit a two-run double in Cincinnati’s four-run first inning and added a two-run single in the fifth, and Brandon Finnegan (6-8) shut out San Diego on four hits and three walks over six innings.
