The National Park Service is seeking public input as it develops a low-water plan for Lake Mead.

Scoping meetings will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mohave County Library in Kingman, Arizona, and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Heritage Park Senior Facility at 300 South Racetrack Road in Henderson.

Written comments and recommenda­tions on what should be included in the low-water plan will be accepted through Nov. 5 online at parkplanni­ng.nps.gov or by mail at

Lake Mead officials will outline the low-water planning process and present preliminar­y alternativ­es during public meetings Wednesday at the Mohave County Library in Kingman, Arizona, and Thursday at the Heritage Park Senior Facility at 300 S. Racetrack Road in Henderson. Both meetings are scheduled to last from 6-8 p.m.

“We really do want people to come out and comment,” Kennedy said.

For those who can’t, the Park Service will accept public input on what should be included in the low-water plan through Nov. 5.
