Yankees 10, Orioles 8 — At New York, Didi Gregorius and Aaron Hicks each hit a two-run homer to back CC Sabathia (8-7), who allowed two runs over six innings in his second win since the All-star break.

Rays 11, Jays 3 — At Toronto, Durango product Tommy Pham tripled, walked twice and hit a sacrifice fly, and Austin Meadows went 3-for-3 with three RBIS for Tampa Bay, which overcame two home runs by Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

Royals 4, Tigers 3 — At Detroit, Alex Gordon had three hits to back Ian Kennedy (3-8), who allowed two earned runs over seven-plus innings in winning his second straight start, as Kansas City halted a fivegame slide.

Rangers 8, Mariners 3 — At Arlington, Texas, Adrian Beltre hit a threerun homer and totaled five RBIS as Texas snapped a four-game skid in a game halted by rain in the seventh.

Brewers 7, Pirates 3 — At Pittsburgh, Travis Shaw, Mike Moustakas and Erik Kratz homered in a six-run sixth by Milwaukee, which ended Pittsburgh’s five-game win streak and drew within 1 1/2 games of Chicago atop the NL Central.

Rockies 6, Diamondbac­ks 2 — At Phoenix, Ian Desmond drove in three runs to back German Marquez (13-10), who allowed two runs and struck out 11 over seven innings, as Colorado moved 1 1/2 games behind St. Louis for the second NL wild card.

Mets 4, Nationals 2 — At Washington, Jacob degrom (9-9) held Washington to one run and struck out eight over seven innings in his record 23rd straight quality start, besting the mark of Bob Gibson (1968) and Chris Carpenter (2005) in a single season.

Braves 6, Phillies 5 — At Atlanta, Ozzie Albies hit a two-run homer and Johan Camargo a two-run single in a fiverun seventh for Atlanta, which erased a three-run deficit and cut its magic number over Philadelph­ia for clinching the NL East to two.

Cardinals 5, Giants 3 — At St. Louis, pinch hitter Matt Adams had a go-ahead two-run double in the eighth for St.

Louis, which pulled within 4 1/2 games of Chicago atop the NL Central.

Marlins 1, Reds 0 — At Miami, pinch hitter Isaac Galloway smacked an opposite-field walk-off double in the 10th to score Brian Anderson, who also had doubled.
