Beloved Browns assistant fractures ankle at practice

Beloved Cleveland offensive line coach Bob Wylie sustained a broken ankle during practice Thursday and underwent surgery.

No details were provided on how Wylie, 67, was injured. The team said he is resting at University Hospitals and likely will miss the Browns’ home finale Sunday.

Wylie was relatively unknown before his appearance­s on HBO’S “Hard Knocks” this summer made the big-bellied coach a fan favorite. Wylie mocked players needing to stretch, and his stomach bounced when he yelled, “set, hut” during drills.
