Rain, wind featured in Las Vegas Valley forecast

The Las Vegas Valley is expected to see rain and wind to return this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 54 degrees Saturday.

Those in the valley could see the rare snow flurry Saturday before noon, the weather service said. There is a 20 percent chance for rain or snow starting at about 8 a.m.

Wind and rain will return Sunday. The valley has a 40 percent chance for rain in the afternoon, which will increase to 50 percent at night. Winds from the south are expected around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph during the day, meteorologist Jenn Varian said.

Sunday’s high should be 56 degrees.
