Harden’s 57 points go for naught in loss to Grizzlies

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — James Harden scored 57 points, but the Memphis Grizzlies outlasted Houston 126-125 in overtime Wednesday, handing the Rockets their second loss in the past 14 games.

Mike Conley scored 35 points for Memphis, and Jonas Valanciuna­s added a career-best 33, including the winning free throw with less than a second left.

Valanciuna­s made the first of two free throws with 0.1 seconds to go after Clint Capela fouled him under the Memphis basket. The clock ran out after Valanciuna­s, who also had 15 rebounds, missed the second foul shot.

Harden scored 15 during a 17-2 fourthquar­ter burst that helped the Rockets tie the game at 115 at the end of regulation. Harden’s three free throws with four seconds left tied it. Conley ended the night 12 of 23 from the field, including 6 for 9 from outside the 3-point arc. Valanciuna­s hit 10 of 19 shots from the floor and made 13 of 17 free throws.

Cavaliers 107, Bucks 102 — At Cleveland, Collin Sexton scored 25 points and Jordan Clarkson 23 for Cleveland, which delayed Milwaukee from clinching the Central Division. Khris Middleton scored 26 points and Eric Bledsoe 24 for the Bucks, who were without All-star Giannis Antetokoun­mpo (right ankle sprain) and five other rotational players, including two starters.

Raptors 123, Thunder 114, OT — At Oklahoma City, Pascal Siakam had 33 points and 13 rebounds for Toronto, which shot 51.7 percent and had four players with six assists apiece. Russell Westbrook had 42 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for Oklahoma City, which trailed by 20 points in the second half of its fourth loss in a row.

76ers 118, Celtics 115 — At Philadelph­ia, Joel Embiid had 37 points, 22 rebounds and a key block on Kyrie Irving with 35 seconds left for Philadelph­ia, which won its sixth straight. Jimmy Butler scored 15 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter for the Sixers, who trailed by 15 in the first half. Irving had 36 points.

Heat 110, Spurs 105 — At San Antonio, Goran Dragic scored 20 of his 22 points in the first half for Miami, which snapped San Antonio’s nine-game win streak. The Spurs, who had six scorers reach double figures, but only two starters, trailed by 12 entering the fourth quarter in their first loss in 12 home games.

Jazz 137, Knicks 116 — At New

York, Donovan Mitchell hit five 3-pointers and totaled 30 points, and Rudy Gobert made all seven shots and totaled 18 points for Utah, which made 20 of 42 3-point attempts and won its fifth straight.

Bulls 126, Wizards 120, OT — At Chicago, Lauri Markkanen had 32 points and 13 rebounds, and Kris Dunn added eight of his season-high 26 points in overtime to go with 13 assists for Chicago, which was without top scorer Zach Lavine (right thigh contusion, right knee tendinitis).

Trail Blazers 126, Mavericks 118 — At Portland, Ore., Damian Lillard had 33 points and 12 assists before resting in the fourth quarter for Portland, which won for the fifth time in six games and dealt Dallas its ninth loss in 10 games. The Mavs have lost eight in a row on the road.

Magic 119, Pelicans 96 — At Orlando, Fla., Evan Fournier had 22 points and Nikola Vucevic 15 points and 17 rebounds for Orlando, which won its third in a row. New Orleans was without AllStar center Anthony Davis, who left the team to attend to a family matter.
