Sounds edge past Aviators
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Zack Granite hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the seventh inning, and the Nashville Sounds defeated the Aviators 3-2 on Friday.
Las Vegas had tied the game in the top of the seventh on Chris Herrmann’s solo home run.
Jett Bandy hit a tworun double in the fifth inning to give Nashville a 2-1 lead. He also scored the winning run on Granite’s hit.
Jonah Heim opened the scoring with an RBI double for the Aviators in the third inning.
Miguel Del Pozo (1-1) got the win in relief, and Miguel Romero
(2-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.
