EX-WR: Lions sought to change concussion story
Retired wide receiver Calvin Johnson said Detroit wanted him to change his story regarding one of the many concussions he had in his nine years with the Lions.
The six-time Pro Bowl selection told Sports Illustrated he blacked out against Minnesota in 2012. “I wasn’t seeing straight,” Johnson recalled. “And they wanted me to change my story.”
Johnson, 33, also told SI he smoked marijuana after every game. He retired three years ago with 11,619 yards receiving and 83 TD catches. His 1,964 yards receiving in 2012 is an NFL record.
