Six people were injured Wednesday night in Las Vegas Valley in three shootings, officials said.

The shootings happened in North Las Vegas and Henderson, leaving at least one person in “very critical condition.”

One of the people injured Wednesday night was shot by Henderson police after a robbery attempt at a restaurant, police said.

Two men injured

The first shooting happened about 5:30 p.m. in North Las Vegas. Two men were shot on the 100 block of

Honey Locust Drive, near Washburn Road and Commerce Street, North Las Vegas police spokesman Eric Leavitt said.

The men suffered nonlife-threatening injuries, Leavitt said. Police have not identified who shot them.

Just before 7 p.m., Henderson police received an alarm call from a restaurant on the 10000 block of Warm Springs Road, less than a half-mile from Sunset Station, Lt. Kirk Moore said at a news briefing Wednesday night. Officers found an employee suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Moore declined to say where that shooting happened. He added that it appeared the shooting happened during a robbery.

Suspect caught

Two officers then found the shooter outside of the restaurant. The armed man was shot by police, but it was unclear if both officers fired their guns, Moore said.

Both the restaurant employee and his shooter were hospitalized. Their condition Wednesday night was unclear. No officers were injured.

More information about the Henderson police shooting should be released Thursday morning, Moore said.

‘Very critical’

Thirty minutes after that Henderson call, another shooting was reported in North Las Vegas. A man and an 18-year-old woman were shot at an apartment complex at Rome Boulevard and Mccarran Street, near Centennial Parkway and Losee Road.

The woman was shot in the head and was in “very critical” condition Wednesday night, Leavitt said. The man was shot in the ankle, and his injuries were not life-threatening.

Both were taken to University Medical Center, Leavitt said. He did not have information about possible suspects in either North Las Vegas shooting nor the events that led up to them.
