ALFRED GERALD AHLRICH Alfred Gerald Ahlrich "Jerry" passed away December 1, 2020 in Las Vegas, . He was born January 20, 1946, in Le Mars, IA to Alfred and La Rae Ahlrich. Jerry grew up in Le Mars with brother Ron, halfbrothe­rs Jim and Larry, and half-sister Elaine. Later there was a move to Sioux City. In 1953 the family moved to Phoenix, where Jerry graduated from Alhambra High School in 1964 and later attended college. He worked in various jobs in retail grocery stores and later served in the U.S. Air Force. In the 1970’s Jerry moved to Las Vegas where he continued in food supply retail jobs until he was employed by the State of Nevada Department of Employment Training and Rehabilita­tion where he worked until retirement. Jerry’s interests and hobbies were many. He liked music and as a young boy played the accordion and in high school he was a member of the orchestra. As an adult he liked golfing with his friends, target shooting and he especially enjoyed cooking which he was an excellent one. He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he made through the years in Iowa, Arizona and Nevada. A special thanks to the many healthcare providers at Summerlin Hospital, Nathan Adelson Hospice and his at home caregiver and companion, Nom. He was preceded in death by his parents; half brothers, James and

Larry; and half-sister, Elaine. He is survived by brother, Ron; cousins Lynn and Louna Younie, Gene and John Jamptgaard and many other cousins; nephews, Steven Ahlrich, Ronald S. Ahlrich; and niece, Susan Wallace; along with others. Services will be private. Palm Cheyenne Mortuary.
