Eugenio “Gene” Alfred Lucio, of Henderson, NV, went to heaven on Friday, December 4th, 2020. He was born in NY, NY in 1946. He was raised in Puerto Rico before joining the United States Air Force in 1964. He was proud that he had the honor of serving our country as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Gene has lived in Nevada for 42 years and spent the past 24 of those years with his loving wife, Lisa Lucio. He retired in 2017 from the Department of Homeland Security, TSA after 15 years of service. Gene’s favorite season was summer where he made memories with his family in the pool. He had a passion for many genres of music, especially smooth jazz. His lust for knowledge in areas such as history and space prompted his interest in reading frequently. Everyone he had the opportunity to meet fell in love with him after just one conversation and he truly touched them in some way. There aren’t enough words to encapsulate the entirety of his beautiful, wonderful qualities and the impact he made on those closest to him. He is now reunited in heaven with his parents: Luis Lucio and Rosa Nicolas; and brothers: Louis Nicolas and John Lucio. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, children: Nicolette Lucio-toshi, Colin Lucio, Alixandrya Kopp, and Gena Lucio; sons-in-law: Steven Toshi and Kyle Kopp; granddaughter: Brooklyn Toshi; sistersin-law, Denise Micalizzi and Shelly Stevenson. There will be a private service held for the family at the Boulder City Veterans Cemetery.
