Baylor tops West Virginia in OT

MORGANTOWN, W.VA. — Jared Butler scored 25 points before fouling out, Davion Mitchell hit the go-ahead basket in overtime and No. 3 Baylor beat No. 6 West Virginia 94-89 Tuesday to clinch the Bears’ first Big 12 regular season championsh­ip.

Mitchell scored four of Baylor’s 13 points in overtime and finished with 20. Matthew Mayer had a season-high 18 points for the Bears.

■ No. 4 Illinois 76, No. 2 Michigan 53: At Ann Arbor, Mich., Andre Curbelo scored 11 of his 17 points in the first half for the Illini (19-6, 15-4 Big Ten). Eli Brooks scored 11 points and was the only player in double figures for the Wolverines (18-2, 13-2).

■ No. 8 Alabama 70, Auburn 58: At Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jaden Shackelfor­d scored 23 points on five 3-pointers for the Crimson Tide (20-6, 15-2 Southeaste­rn Conference). Devan Cambridge scored 11 points for the Tigers (12-14, 6-11).

■ No. 12 Arkansas 101, South Carolina 73: At Columbia, S.C., Moses Moody tied his career high with 28 points for the Razorbacks (20-5, 12-4 SEC). AJ Lawson led the Gamecocks (6-13, 4-11) with 18 points.

■ No. 15 Texas 81, Iowa State 67: At Ames, Iowa, Kai Jones came off the bench to score a season-high 17 points for the Longhorns (15-7, 9-6 Big 12). The Cyclones (2-19, 0-16) were led by Jalen Coleman-lands, who scored 22 points.

■ No. 18 Texas Tech 69, Texas

Christian 49: At Lubbock, Texas, Kyler Edwards scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half for the Red Raiders (16-8, 8-7 Big 12). R.J. Nembhard scored 10 points on a rough shooting night (4 of 12) for the leading scorer for the Horned Frogs (12-11, 5-9).

■ No. 23 Purdue 73, No. 25 Wisconsin 69: At West Lafayette, Ind., Freshman Zach Edey scored a career-high 21 points and Jaden Ivey added 18 for the Boilermake­rs (17-8, 12-6 Big Ten).

MOUNTAIN WEST

■ Fresno State 67, Boise State 64: At Boise, Idaho, Isaiah Hill had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (11-10, 9-10). Hill capped the scoring on a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:10 left. Emmanuel Akot had 18 points for the Broncos (18-7, 14-6).
