Freshman Jordyn Jenkins had 16 points to lead four double-figure scorers for hot-shooting Southern California in its 71-65 win over Arizona State in the first round of the Pac-12 women’s basketball tournament Wednesday at Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Endyia Rogers had 15 points and 11 assists, Jordan Sanders 14 points and Alissa Pili 12 points for the eighth-seeded Trojans (11-11), who shot 65.2 percent while halting a three-game skid.

Taya Hanson had 15 points and Maggie Besselink 13 points and 10 rebounds for the ninth-seeded Sun Devils (11-10), who held a 36-23 edge in rebounds but shot 34.9 percent. ASU never led and trailed by as many as 21 points in the first half.

USC next faces top-seeded Stanford (22-2) at 2 p.m. Thursday.

■ Washington 68, Colorado

54: Tameiya Sadler and Haley Van Dyke each scored 18 points for the 11th-seeded Huskies (7-13), who scored 29 points off 20 turnovers by the sixth-seeded Buffaloes (10-10).

Quay Miller and Alexis Griggsby each scored 11 points for Washington, which trailed 19-12 after one quarter but led 34-28 at halftime. The Huskies shot 54.3 percent.

Mya Hollingshe­d and Frida Formann scored 16 points apiece for Colorado, which had won four straight.

Washington next faces third-seeded UCLA (14-4) at 8 p.m. Thursday.

■ Oregon State 71, California

63: Talia von Oelhoffen scored 20 points for the fifth-seeded Beavers (10-6), who won their fourth straight and seventh in eight games. Evelien Lutje Schipholt had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the 12th-seeded Golden Bears (1-16), who held a 39-33 edge in rebounds.

The Beavers next face fourth-seeded Oregon (13-7) at 11 a.m. Thursday.

■ Washington State 57, Utah 48:

Bella Murekatete had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the seventh-seeded Cougars (12-10), who overcame 33.3-percent shooting by holding the 10th-seeded Utes (5-16) to 23.3 percent.

Charlisse Leger-walker scored 15 points and Krystal Leger-walker 12 for WSU, which overcame a 17-16 deficit after one quarter by holding Utah to 14 total points in the middle quarters.

WSU next faces second-seeded Arizona (15-4) at 5 p.m. Thursday.
