SANDRA HARMS

Sandra (Sandy) Rae Harms, 76, of Las Vegas, NV, passed October 18, 2020 after battling Alzheimer’s. She was born on 2/5/1944 in Chicago, grew up in Grand Junction, CO and graduated from Rancho High School. Sandy & Kurt Harms were married for 45 years. She was a stay-at-home mom, while also assisting Kurt with their business “Kurt Harms Tax Service”. They built up a large clientele over 30 years using their motto, “Taxes Hurt, Call Kurt”. While Kurt was in client’s homes collecting tax data, Sandy was working in their home office making appointments, updating files, filling out forms & mailing to the IRS. Sandy was very involved & volunteered at her children’s school, First Good Shepherd Lutheran School. She was a member of the PTL, the School Board and volunteered in the lunchroom. She was a member of First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and recently attended Mountain View Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, outdoor activities, walking with sister-in-law Rachel and spending time with family. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Kurt; her parents, Philip and Jessie Moen. She is survived by her children, Christine (Jeff) Lubs, Cari (Chris) Shaver, & Eric (Jenny) Harms; brothers Robert Moen & David (Tawnya) Moen; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held at Mountain View Lutheran Church on October 30th. Donations in Sandy’s memory can be made to Lutheran Social Services of Nevada.
