Robert “Bob” Dixon, 74, passed away on April 15, 2021 after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

He was born in Indio, California, on January 25, 1947 to Wilburt and Glennis Dixon.

The family relocated to Las Vegas in

1960 where he graduated Western High School in the Class of 1965. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed at Naval Base Coronado and decorated for his service in Vietnam with VRC-50 Fleet Logistics Squadron. He retired as President of Owens Precision Fabricator­s in 2008. Bob was a licensed pilot, an avid woodworker, golfer and motorcycli­st with the Sin City Riders.

Bob is survived by his loving partner of 21 years, Betty Jo Kartes, children Robert & Heather Dixon, Jon Dixon, Sarah & TJ Hogan, Stephanie & John Helms, Armani & Art Soto, and grandchild­ren Paige & Scott Giles, Hunter, JT, Allyssa, Zakai, Rylan, Aries, Alex, Sailor and Chloe, aunt Mary Cash, and his beloved dog Dolly.

He was preceded to Heaven by his parents, sister Beth, and uncle Dick. He will be remembered for his quiet kindness and devotion to family and thought of fondly by all who knew him.

Memorial donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice or Kline Veterans Fund.

Services will be private.
