Central Michigan QB out of hospital after shooting

Central Michigan quarterbac­k John Keller was released from Hurley Medical Center a month after being shot in the chest near campus. Keller and another student were shot at an April 24 party after a fight broke out at an apartment complex. Keller was on a ventilator until May 1. Kenneth Thomas of Farmington Hills, Michigan, was arrested in connection with the shooting and faces 10 charges.

■ NFL: Kansas City quarterbac­k Patrick Mahomes’ timetable to participat­e in team drills after February turf toe surgery was accelerate­d, with the 25-year-old three-time Pro Bowl selection to join the team next week.

The initial plan was for Mahomes to begin participat­ion at a mid-june minicamp.
