■ RECAP: Carlos Pèrez delivered a secondinni­ng grand slam to stake the Aviators to a 6-0 lead. Skye Bolt opened the inning with a single and moved to second when Pete Kozma reached on a fielder’s choice. Two outs later, Vimael Machín walked and Pèrez followed with his 13th homer of the season, a blast to left field. The Aviators had taken a 2-0 lead in the first on a wild pitch and an RBI single from Francisco Peña.

■ RECORD: Aviators (36-34), Bees (34-36).

■ ON THE MOUND: Aviators left-handed starter Jesús Luzardo (2-2) picked up the win. He surrendere­d six hits, three earned runs and a walk while striking out four over five innings. Right-hander Grant Holmes, the last of four relievers used, had a rocky ninth inning for the Aviators, allowing two hits, two earned runs and a walk. Lefty starter Brian Johnson (2-2) took the loss for the Bees.

■ AT THE PLATE: Bolt finished with three of the Aviators’ 12 hits. Peña and Austin Allen each had two. Kean Wong, Michael Stefanic and Jake Gatewood finished with two hits each for the Bees, while Taylor Ward drove in three runs with a double and a groundout.

■ NOTES: The Aviators and Bees have split the first four games of the six-game series. They will meet again Monday and Tuesday nights. … The Aviators have won seven of their past 10 games. … Following an off-day Wednesday, the Aviators will return to Las Vegas Ballpark on Thursday for a six-game series with the Tacoma Rainiers, the Triple-a affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. … Thursday night will be $2 Beer Night, Friday night’s giveaway will be 2,000 car trunk organizers provided by Pulte Homes, and Saturday night will be Steiner’s Beer Cups Night.
